Jason Rodon

Jason Rodon, originally from Green bay, WI received a BFA from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in percussion performance under the direction of Pavel Burda. Rodon was the first timpanist to win the annual UWM concerto competition and also played extensively with MFAY, as well as many other 20th century music ensembles and regional midwest orchestras. Rodon has played internationally with the Rome Festival orchestra and Aims festival in Graz Austria. After moving to Breckenridge in 1994, Rodon completed his MFA in percussion performance in 2000 at the University of Denver with John Kinzie. Rodon has been principal timpanist/percussionist with the Denver Brass for the past 26 years and is currently conductor of the Summit County Orchestra. In addition to performing music, Rodon still runs his interior trim and custom carpentry business Trimworks which is entering its 30th year of operation in Breckenridge. He was also founder and owner of Meta Yoga Studios and Schools until 2018. Rodon is grateful to still call Breckenridge home and lives with his wife Leslie Ross in an 1860’s cabin with their cat Herman and 3 chickens.
